GENEVA, Switzerland – Christmas Day began with unusual activity for cops chasing a drunk driver that ran two red lights at over 100km/h in Geneva.
The man identified as a 31-year-old from Evian-les-Bains, France, led officers on a chase clocking 106km/h, through the Général-Guisan quai, rue Adhémar-Fabri, place Albert-Thomas until arrested at route de Lausanne 278.
He was first spotted on 25 December at around 06:30, running a red light near the famous Flower Clock near the Mont-Blanc bridge.
The man’s alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit at 1,44. He acknowledged driving fast, but says he didn’t realize he had run through several red lights.
