Geneva, Switzerland — The Romande pride parade this year is set as a three-day festival taking place in the Swiss capital of Bern from 25-27 August.

The Swiss pride parade takes place in a different city every year to bring awareness of the LGBTI community and promote their equal rights. It had been 17 years since the parade last took place in Bern.

Under the slogan “Strength in Diversity”, the Pride Ouest Berne festival will conclude with six separate parades (each representing a color of the rainbow flag), converging at the city’s main square, the Federal Plaza.

Events include a guided tour of the Swiss Federal Council, hiking, outdoor films, a brunch, a motorcycle parade and of course, plenty of parties and after-parties.
